The Enterprise Operations and Security Services (EOSS) program supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) is seeking a highly motivated SharePoint 2016 farm administrator to support their Guard Knowledge Online (GKO) and public website services.
This Sharepoint Farm Administration position requires the ability to effectively design, plan, and administer SharePoint 2013 and SP2016 Site Collections. Provide central administration and common services including the Configuration and Maintenance of SharePoint infrastructure for Guard Knowledge Online (GKO) and ARNG hosted public sites. SP Farm Administrator is an essential member of the SharePoint Team and frequently collaborates with other Farm Administrators and Site Collection Owners/Content Managers to resolve problems, assist with issues, or knowledge transfer. Performs quality assurance function to create and execute test plans to certify all software changes are functional. Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016 knowledge and competency is required. Familiar with the web application, Microsoft SharePoint, and related web technologies. Able to provide support and solutions to third-parties and end users. They will also be required to oversee and manage specific aspects of SharePoint such as:
Prior experience administering, developing and maintaining SharePoint 2013/2016 portal sites.
Experience investigating and resolving SharePoint performance issues, such as front end web server performance, indexing performance, and working with the Structured Query Language (SQL).
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for SharePoint configuration and web part issues.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge and experience working with and establishing workflows within the SharePoint environment
Site layout structure and content
Maintenance of sites and sub-sites
Familiar with Central administration functions within Sharepoint
Must possess knowledge of business workflows and have an in depth understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint, Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Designer / Visual Studio.
Responsible for the creation of new site collections, default permissions, etc. Other tasks will include documenting SharePoint configuration and architecture, reviewing and monitoring usage reports, and providing Microsoft Project support to project leaders.
Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and management the enterprise SharePoint server(s)/virtual machines within the installation processing node/special purpose processing node and or within the cloud.
Modify SharePoint templates
Perform daily operational checks to ensure the SharePoint application(s) are operational to ensure uptime.
Perform server maintenance (patching, STIGs, hot fixes, etc.)
Ensure services are load balanced within virtual environment
Develop proper governance plan for all users
Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting and tech support for all GKO users utilizing enterprise ticketing management system
Verbal and written communication with end users
Creation, regular review and revision of documents
Prepares internal software design documentation
Ensure compliance of an IT system with regulatory requirements and business processes
Provides monitoring of the system through usage analysis and tuning
Provides user support for hardware and softwareRequirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in technical area or equivalent experience
Interim SECRET clearance to start, SECRET required
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification (can be obtained within 90 days of joining EOSS)
DOD 8570 Certification for Information Assurance Technician Level II (both Information Assurance (IA) and Computing Environment (CE) certifications are required at start)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience
