What you’ll be doing...
As a Senior Manager you will lead a team of highly technical engineers responsible for the design and delivery of custom Professional Services (PS) solutions. You will report to the Associate Director Emerging Services and Delivery Operations. You will need to demonstrate the ability to deal with highly complex problems requiring in-depth analysis, evaluation, and conceptual thinking in a rapidly growing, dynamic environment.
In this role you will lead two functional areas:
You will be responsible for owning and executing the growth and ongoing management strategies for PS delivery in the Federal Systems space. You will ensure that Federal Systems and State & Local Education (SLED) Professional Services delivery work flows appropriately to the DECCx organization. You will establish the strategic plans and oversee all of the actions required for successful program delivery outcomes.
Concurrently, you will be responsible for leading the Staff Augmentation functions within the DECCx organization, developing strategic plans to significantly expand the Staff Augmentation practice globally. You will be responsible for all aspects of recruiting, hiring and managing a team, including planning their training, establishing schedules, collaborating on career paths, ensuring performance and adherence to corporate policies/training.
You must ensure all billable and non-billable team members’ utilization remains within acceptable ranges and the work they are performing is completed on-time and within budgeted hours.
You will provide cross-functional technical product support by collaborating with direct reports, the Verizon product teams, Verizon support organizations and technology partners to influence technical direction, contribute to product roadmaps and assist in resolving product technical issues and closing technical gaps from presales through delivery.
As the Senior Manager, you will own the overall success of every project being delivered by the team and must be aware of the overall status of every project and own delivery-related escalations and technical issue resolution within Verizon and our technology partners. You must provide support to Sales and Account Teams during the presales cycle and day-2 support organizations after project handoff. The Senior Manager works with PS peers as well as Product, Sales and external Technology Partners on continual process improvements to accelerate product delivery to meet Verizon contracted commitments.
You must also ensure highly effective and mutually-rewarding customer relationships, and effectively communicate project and/or issue status to Verizon key stakeholders as well as customer management and executive levels.
You will be required to...
Craft customized development plans to ensure each team member focuses on training, improving skill sets and enhancing the value they deliver to the company.
Manage exempt and nonexempt Delivery resources.
Assign resources to customer projects, tracks overall progress and ensures completion of projects, on-time and within budget.
Achieve customer satisfaction rating at or above the pre-established customer satisfaction rating.
Manage project portfolio and ensure efficiencies and overall tasking is addressed and metrics are reported.
Develop team members and ensure they advance in capabilities and abilities to support management of our products and services and for their own advancement.
Set goals and objectives for team and monitor for adherence and improvement opportunities.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in the application of financial analysis techniques, tools and concepts.
Willingness to work nights/weekends as required when technical issues and/or project escalations arise.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
Experience in the application of financial analysis techniques, tools and concepts to enable strategic decisions.
Subject matter expert in correlating business drivers and needs (financial drivers, impacts, and restrictions) into technical solutions.
Leadership and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to work cross functionally and act as an influencer at all levels.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and respond to escalations.
Ability to multi-task and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Ability to work with Verizon technology partners in terms of technical direction, support and issue resolution.
Knowledge of Telco Operating Companies gained through job experience.
