Leidos Quality Assurance Analyst in FAIRFAX, Virginia


The Leidos DSI program currently has an opening for a Quality Assurance Software tester to work in our Fairfax, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Leidos DSI Program Quality Assurance mission. In this position, the individual will perform a variety of activities in information systems design, development, and analysis encompassing the following areas of technical expertise: programming, computer application analysis, software testing, systems integration, and related disciplines.

The Quality Assurance Analyst provides software testing support to the program supporting Intranet Quorum (IQ) development. The successful candidate is a constant learner of all new features in the Leidos proprietary software package he or she supports and applies new concepts to provide testing, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving for the IQ program lifecycle. This individual is able to analyze, research and solve complex problems independently and seeks collaboration with fellow team members when needed to meet deadlines and complete testing in a timely manner. He or she applies focus on proactive communication and documentation of features and testing results.




_Typical education and experience: (Generally the level of education/experience desired, not necessarily required)_

Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

_Required Skills:_

Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product.

Expertise in one or more programming language is required.

IMPACT: Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/ project team.

Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.

May assist other technical staff with tasks and assignments.

Prior knowledge of the Intranet Quorum (IQ) product and direct customer support experience is desired for the position.

COMPLEXITY: Addresses somewhat complex technical issues/problems using internal best practice and through collaboration with colleagues. Develops solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge, but are typically limited in complexity.

COMMUNICATION: Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.). Explains technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization.

KNOWLEDGE: Requires working knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of technical domain.
