Job Description

Able to process accurate refunds, timely and accurate review of accounts if credit or an over payment occurs or a correction to the financial data is needed. Provides resolutions on credits based on knowledge of payer contracts and understanding of the specific requirements for each payer. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of designated or assigned payer contracts and applies the correct logic and calculation for payment against accounts. Ensure that knowledge of payer's contract is current and escalates unusual trend/issues to management and contracting department. All refund checks received from Accounts Payable department are sorted accordingly and mailed on a timely basis. Provides timely resolution and assistance to internal/external customer's requests related to credits.

Requirements

Experience: Demonstrated ability to learn Revenue Cycle functions

Education: HS Diploma or GED

Special Skills: Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to think critically
