Leidos Receiving Clerk (NCI) in FREDERICK, Maryland
Contracts and Acquisitions (C&A) provides all purchasing, subcontracting, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and transportation services for the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNL).
The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for:
Physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment
Preparing and keeping accurate records of goods shipped, e.g. manifests, bills of lading, filing, data entry
Resolving end-user/customer problems and issues
Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents, bill of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts or other records
Check for damaged goods
Ensure that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the FNL
Working hours will be 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent
In addition to the education requirement, one (1) year of related work experience
Must become educated in and maintain certification for Hazardous Materials in Transportation (General Awareness training)
Ability to maintain accurate files, logs, and records
Good verbal, telephone, and customer relation skills
Basic computer skills to include data entry
Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand and/or power trucks)
Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's License with no more than 3 points as determined by the appropriate State Motor Vehicle Administration point system for offenses
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
