At BMC, the Field Install Manager guides and directs their team with an eye for efficient installation and first-rate customer service. They are responsible for assisting the Installed Services Manager with activities associated with installation or framing components, doors, windows, exterior trim/siding, interior doors/trim and other building materials.
Ensures that all installed services customers receive superior service.
Work closely with sales representatives and sales coordinators to quote projects accurately.
Performs labor estimates for installation/construction of framing components, doors, windows, exterior trim/siding, interior doors/trim and other building materials.
Distributes RFP’s to subcontractors, analyzes bids and awards/drafts subcontract agreements.
Reviews material estimates and reviews internal and external quotes, reviews Trend bid worksheets and drafts proposals.
Reviews plans and scope of work with field supervisors and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed accurately.
Maintains reports documenting bidding, sales and job completion activities.
Regularly strives to build/improve relations with customers.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment per OSHA regulations. Oversees safety administration.
Performs subcontractor administration that includes recruitment, subcontractor setup and file maintenance.
Performs other related duties as necessary.
Minimum education required - High School Diploma. OSHA 10 certification required - Can be obtained within 3 months of hire date.
Minimum experience required - 5 years of experience working in construction project administration, estimating or building supply administration
Special skills required—Ability to read and interpret plans. Basic knowledge of all facets of residential construction. Ability to interpret specifications and/or scopes of work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal customer relations skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
Special knowledge required—Basic knowledge of construction contracting, materials and methods of construction, applications, specifications and material/labor costs.
Other - Computer literate. Daily use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and company management software. Ability to work in a variety of environments and climates.
